So your child wants a sleepover party, but you don’t know where to start? Let us help, Little Dreamers Sleepovers specializes in sleepover parties in greater West Michigan and can assist you in any planning needs. Our guide will outline how to plan a successful sleepover from start to end, with our tent rental or without.
Guest list: Decide on how many guest you will invite? Try to invite an even amount of guests so no one feels like the odd man out.
Invitations: Make sure to send out invitations at least one month in advanced, so that they can add it to their calendar. Invitations should provide drop-off and pick-up times to avoid any confusion. We recommend a start time after 3 p.m. and a pickup time between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. the next day. Set a date for a RSVP and send out a reminder to all the parents at least 1 week prior. Schedule: Come up with a schedule to entertain the children. Try to plan two to three structured activities, but remember to leave free time to relax, make a group ticktok video, or have a pillow fight. Here are some ideas to keep your guest entertained.
Spa: Our spa party is a perfect addition to your party and provides the relaxation needed before bed. Our party includes plush spa robes for each guest to do manicures, pedicures, and facials. (Crafts such as bath bomb or lip gloss making pair well and work well as party favors). Check out our spa party!
Crafts: Dreamcatcher kits, friendship bracelets, pillow decorating kits are also perfect ideas. Check them out here!
Games: Twister, Pie face, Pictionary, watch ya’ mouth, spoons, hedbanz, are our favorites!
Most importantly let them enjoy their time together and take lots of pictures along the way!
Food: Depending on what time your party starts you may have to serve dinner. We recommend a dinner idea that the guest can be involved in and that they will actually eat. Our go to is English muffin pizza buffets (English muffin, served with pizza sauce, cheese, and array of toppings). Don’t forget the late night snack food, it wouldn’t be a sleepover without popcorn.
Movie: Save this activity for last! Before the movie starts have the guest prepare for bedtime. Once everyone is ready have everyone go to their tents or sleeping area. That way when the movie ends they are ready for bed.
Bed time: It’s a sleepover, is there really a bedtime? There is definably no hope for a regular bedtime, but we can shoot for everyone to sleep by midnight (depending on their age)! Turn the lights out and encourage them to go to bed. But if needed send dad down for the final warning.
Breakfast: You survived the night!! We recommend a few options when it comes to breakfast. Option one is buying premade breakfast items, or option two is preparing breakfast yourself. Depending on your desired level of effort. Doughnuts, muffins, and cinnamon rolls are all great options to pick up premade. Add fresh fruit, yogurt and glass milk cups to make it look extra cute. If you prefer to make breakfast waffle bars are a great option, offer a variety of toppings such as fruit, whipped cream, syrup, or sprinkles.
The party is almost over, and your child will be left with lasting memories to reminisce upon for years to come. Now pull out that #1 Mom mug and recharge with a cup of coffee!
