Response to Coronavirus

Birthday parties are a once a year celebration, where we as parents want to celebrate our loved ones special day surrounded by family and friends. However, with the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic many parents are left wondering what to do regarding these gatherings, and your not alone.

We know that sleepover parties are not immune to coronavirus. Since the start of this outbreak we have completely shut down in order to flatten the curve and stop the spread of the novel coronavirus. We are awaiting Governor Whitmers plan regarding reopening our business and to what extent gatherings will be allowed. We hope to have answers in the next few weeks.

Health and Safety is our first priority when it comes to sleepover parties and we will be taking extra precautions- on top of are normal rigorous cleaning procedures. Upon reopening we will establish specific measures to continue to provide safe sleepovers for children and adults.

What will we do to prevent the spread of coronavirus?

All equipment will be sanitized before and after each use. All our hard surfaces such as tray tables, tent frames, lanterns and air mattresses will be disinfected with antibacterial bleach wipes/spray. Sheets and blankets will be professionally laundered in according to the CDC’s recommendation to kill active viruses. All other equipment will be steamed and sanitized with a disinfectant spray.

What can you expect upon arrival?

Upon arrival we will greet you with a non-contact greeting, while it is our etiquette to shake hands we will refrain from doing so at this time. We will ask to wash our hand before and after setting up our parties, and will be using hand sanitizer regularly throughout the day. Gloves will be worn during setup and pickup to ensure cleanliness and prevent the potential spread of germs. Mask will be worn your party specialist for safety precautions.

What can you do to prevent the spread?

Verify all guest are in good health, with no cough, fever, sore throat or cold/flu symptoms.

Once your guests arrive have them wash their hands using proper technique (i.e. at least 20 seconds with warm water and soap). Set up a hand sanitizer in a common area, and encourage everyone to wash their hands throughout the party, before eating, after using the restroom, after sneezing or coughing, and prior to leaving the party as well.

Can I reschedule my sleepover party?

Yes, we recommend rescheduling your party for a later date instead of cancelling. Many children look forward to these parties and have not seen their friends for over a month. Let’s book their half birthday party or a release from quarantine party to celebrate later this year.
